The St. Mark UMC United Women of Faith is conducting a church-wide initiative to help Secure the Call, (a 501c(3) non-profit organization based out of Takoma Park, MD) collect used cell phones, tablets and laptops. These phones are converted to 911 emergency-only phones that can be given to community members across the USA at no charge. We have set up a collection barrel in the narthex. This drive will start on Sunday March 26 and end on Earth Day Saturday April 22. If you have any questions you can contact Rosetta Holloway at 410-551-3857.
Register on Eventbrite for The Wellness Collective virtual book fair on May 16 7-8pm for kids ages 10 & under. Participating authors will host a storytime session and hands-on activity that promote mental wellness. Families will receive tips on how to support their child's mental wellness and emotional development at home! Free books will be raffled off to some lucky winners.
