April 8, 2020 Good Morning. We need to be careful about how we talk to one another and what we say about each other. We have heard that "sticks and stones may hurt my bones but words will never hurt me". I have learned that words do hurt and sometimes it is not what is being said but how it is being said. I personally struggle with this problem because even though it is never my intent to say words that hurt; the way the words come out may hurt. I am inspired by psalm 19:14 which says: "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and redeemer". (Also read Ephesians 4:29) Before talking to someone examine yourself to see if the words that you are about to speak are acceptable before the Lord. If not, it will be better to hold your peace and not say anything until the words that come out are going to uplift and encourage and not tear someone down. Continue to be blessed, safe, and healthy.
